Our foresters will inspect your property and will make a Forest
Management Plan which will maximize your investment while taking
into consideration any desires you may have for the land.
When on the property, we can make a timber appraisal
and provide you with an estimate of the kind of timber you have and
the current value of the timber. Fees for this service are normally
based on a per acre basis.
One of the
most important events in a forest landowners life is a timber
sale. It is essential to know the volume and the value of the
timber before it is sold. Our foresters will appraise the timber,
prepare and mail a sale prospectus to prospective timber buyers
soliciting their sealed bids, conduct the bid opening, assist with
preparing a logging contract, and inspect the harvesting as it
progresses. Sales will be made when market conditions warrant the
highest dollars. Of course, the owner always has the right to
refuse all bids. Fees for this service are normally based on a
nominal percentage of the sales price. |
